Reclaiming the Purpose of Schooling


The National League of Democratic Schools (NLODS) is a program of the Institute for Educational Inquiry,

that began in 2004. It is comprised of public, charter, and private elementary, middle and high schools in 3 geographic regions: Western, Rocky Mountain

states, and Eastern.


To promote professional development focused on the growth of students as individuals who have the knowledge, skills, abilities, and dispositions required for successful lives, and to be responsible, participating citizens in our social and political democracy.
